Information
By The Ranch 1 hour trail ride there was only this ride with trot and canter, which was called the “Safari Ride” or sometimes the “Adventure Ride.” This ride was limited to a maximum of two guests plus one guide. All other rides (as of 10/2023) were limited to walking only.
Most of the horses were equipped with western saddles.
The stable offered a transfer service for pickup.
Payment was made after the ride at the bar, either in cash or by card.
Stable
The horses lived in paddock boxes of different sizes. Depending on the size, 1 to 3 horses shared a box. Additionally, there was a paddock where groups of three horses could move around freely.
Arrival
When I arrived, the guide was preparing the horses for the ride. I could wait in the café until it started. If needed, guests could borrow a riding helmet free of charge. I mounted using a mounting block, while the guide got on without one. And off we went.
My Trail Ride Diary
Your personal companion for your ride trips– with plenty of space for photos and notes!
Trail Ride
The ride started directly from the ranch. We followed a paved road until we reached a junction, then turned left and immediately right to get onto a dirt track. We continued along the dirt paths, passing a hotel. On one of these paths, we picked up the trot, and once we reached the dunes, we trotted again. We followed this path until we reached the beach. On the beach, we cantered three times before turning left into the dunes and immediately left again to head back. We crossed another beach section before the final and fastest canter of the ride in the dunes. From there, we continued at a relaxed walk, taking the same route back to the ranch.
After the ride
Back at the stable, I dismounted at the tying area, secured my horse, and removed its bridle. The guide unsaddled and put everything away. A staff member provided me with a free 0.5 l bottle of water.
A transfer brought me back to my accommodation.
Photos
At the beach, the guide paused to take photos with his phone. These pictures were sent via WhatsApp.
Additional photos or videos could be taken on request.
My Review
I really enjoyed this ride. The variety between dirt tracks, dunes, and beach made it especially appealing. It offered everything needed for a truly varied and enjoyable experience.

While riding, I wore the Royal Horsemen riding leggings – they were extremely comfortable and pleasant to wear.
