The stable is run by the kind Said (Egyptian), for whom the well-being of the horses and customer service always come first!
Stable
The stable is located on the outskirts of Cairo. All horses are well-fed, kept in individual stalls, and regularly turned out. A riding arena is available for exercise. From the rooftops of the stables, you have a stunning view of the pyramids.
Arrival
Upon arrival at the stable, we first toured the stables. Once we were done, we got ready for the ride. The staff brought the horses to the front of the stable and held them while we mounted. They adjusted the stirrups, and once everyone was seated, the ride began.
My Trail Ride Diary
Your personal companion for your ride trips– with plenty of space for photos and notes!
Trail Ride
The ride started along a sandy path running beside a road. Shortly after, we turned left, riding past dry trees and tall palm trees. At the end of the path, another left turn led us through a small grove before the vast Cairo desert opened up before us.
Only a few minutes later, an awe-inspiring sight unfolded – the majestic pyramids rising on the horizon as we cantered towards them. The soft sand invited us to enjoy our first exhilarating canter, which we relished to the fullest. We then guided our horses left, and shortly after right, to enjoy more stretches for cantering.
Eventually, our path led us along a road until we reached the fence surrounding the pyramid area. There, we rode up a hill where we took a well-deserved water break and admired the spectacular view of the pyramids.
Back in the saddle, we retraced our steps, but this time, at the road, we turned right, diving once more into the vast desert. After a longer walk, we reached another canter stretch, which we enjoyed to the fullest. Through the desert, we rode in all three gaits until we returned to the small grove. From there, we followed the familiar path back to the stable, rounding off this unforgettable ride.

While riding, I wore the Royal Horsemen riding leggings – they were extremely comfortable and pleasant to wear.
