Information
We had the privilege of taking a private Said Cavali 2 hour sunset ride with the guide “Said,” who was able to accommodate all our wishes.
Guests could only pay in cash using Moroccan Dirham.
Stable
The stable is located outside of Tamraghte. Said has 3 horses, which share a large, covered bamboo stall with plenty of straw. He treats the mares like queens and pays close attention to their well-being.
Arrival
For the ride, guests met at the “Afriquia” gas station. An alternative meeting point was directly at the beach. During mounting, Said held the horse and adjusted the stirrups. Once he was in the saddle, the ride began.
Trail Ride
From the gas station, we rode to the left and followed a sandy path running parallel to a busy road. Our destination: the endless beach. At the end of the path, we turned right and gently descended toward the sea.
As soon as the sand was under the hooves, we rode directly to the water. We started with a relaxed walk, then added trot, and finally canter. The route continued along the shoreline—a dreamlike backdrop with the sound of waves accompanying us.
Eventually, we reached the cliffs of Taghazout, where we dismounted for a short tea break. The view of the sea and the cool breeze made this moment unforgettable.
On the way back, we rode along the beach again—this time with full energy. Endless canters awaited us, which we fully enjoyed. We could ride at a relaxed pace or really pick up speed. The wide sandy beach provided plenty of space to easily avoid other tourists.
We returned to the starting point in all gaits and ended this wonderful seaside ride in a relaxed manner.

After the ride
At the parking lot, we dismounted and handed the horses back to Said. He rode them home to finish the day.

Said was very attentive and took lots of photos and videos throughout the ride.
Make sure you have enough storage space!
My Review
I really enjoyed the ride along the beach at sunset. Dreamlike canters along the sand and a lovely tea break made it special.
