I use this list myself before every new assignment – no matter where the journey takes me.
My personal selection of must-haves is listed further down this page.
Riding Leggings with Side Pockets
I only wear riding leggings now because they are very comfortable, breathable, and practical. Grip and two side pockets for your phone and essentials are especially important when I ride alone.
My personal favorite brand is Royal Horsemen – they are super comfortable!
Period Underwear for Long Days in the Saddle
When I’m traveling or on long rides, I want to feel secure – even on those days when it can get uncomfortable. I use period underwear, especially models with flat seams that don’t dig in.

Riding Helmet
Safety first! A riding helmet is mandatory for me.
My favorite brand is Uvex, because the helmets are comfortable and fit all head shapes.

Riding Gloves
Especially on long rides with lots of rein work, I protect my hands – riding gloves are a must-have.
My favorite brand is Roeckl, because they are comfortable and pleasant to wear.

Travel First Aid Kit (Compact Version)
Plasters, wound ointment, disinfectant spray, cetirizine tablets for pollen allergies, a tick card, and personal medication – these are things I always carry. I use a thin, recycled fabric toiletry bag for this.

Sun Protection
If, like me, you spend a lot of time in the sun, you should protect yourself well. I wear a cap in my free time or at work. It protects not only from the sun but also from dirt and rain.
My favorite sunscreen is Carroten Family 50 from Greece.
A lip balm with UV protection is also a must-have.

Tec
I currently use the Apple Watch Series 9 – honestly, because it was on sale and even cheaper than some older models. For me, the practical benefits matter most:
- Track routes (to have a better sense of time as a guide)
- Check heart rate
- Read messages from colleagues or my boss
If you’re often outdoors – whether for work or on a riding holiday – a watch like this is really practical.

My smartphone is my constant companion: for taking photos, keeping notes, tracking routes, or creating spontaneous riding content for social media.
I’m currently using the iPhone 15 Pro* (Amzazon)
My 11-year-old Sony laptop always comes with me when I stay in one place for a while. I use it to maintain my website, write reports, plan new content, or work on new projects.
