Information
We had the privilege of taking a private Equest Resort Egypt 2 h Desert he guide was able to accommodate all our wishes.
Guests could only pay in cash, with Euros, USD, or Egyptian Pounds.
A transfer picked up guests from their hotel.
Stable
Equest Resort Egypt has a very beautiful stable in the desert.
The facility includes a riding arena, round pen, and individual boxes for the horses. The horses’ well-being comes first here, and all animals are well-fed.
There is also a very large stall for horses that never work. They enjoy a relaxed time in company and are also very well cared for.
Arrival
Upon arrival, the owner showed us around the facility, introduced the horses, and shared a short story about each. Our riding horses were already saddled and bridled in the stalls. After the tour, the staff brought the horses out. I had the opportunity to try my horse in all three gaits for 15 minutes in the riding arena to check compatibility. If everything matched, we started directly, or a different horse was assigned if needed.

Trail Ride
The ride began with a right turn past additional stables until we reached the wide, open desert landscape. Initially, the path led over a rocky desert, but soon an endless sand desert stretched out before us.
Once we felt the soft, sandy ground beneath the hooves, we moved into a trot and eventually a canter. In the distance, the majestic mountains of Hurghada appeared on the horizon – a breathtaking sight.
Shortly before heading back, we climbed a very small sand hill to enjoy one last exhilarating canter on the other side. Afterwards, we rode back to the stable at a relaxed walk upon our request, while the setting sun painted the sky in warm gold and red tones – a perfect ending to this ride.

While riding, I wore the Royal Horsemen riding leggings – they were extremely comfortable and pleasant to wear.

After the ride
Back at the stable, the staff held the horses so riders could dismount. They led the horses into the stalls and cared for them. Drinks were offered free of charge.
The transfer then brought us back to our hotel.

My Review
I really enjoyed this ride. We had great opportunities to canter. Experiencing the desert from horseback was wonderful, and the sunset in the desert was simply magical.
