Information
We had the privilege of taking a private beach ride at Equest Resort Egypt (2h). The guide was able to accommodate all our wishes.
Guests could only pay in cash, with Euros, USD, or Egyptian Pounds.
A transfer picked up guests from their hotel.
We booked this trail ride on the same day, and the spontaneity and flexibility of the stable were really outstanding!
Stable
Equest Resort Egypt has a very beautiful stable in the desert.
The facility includes a riding arena, round pen, and individual boxes for the horses. The horses’ well-being comes first here, and all animals are well-fed.
There is also a very large box for all horses that never work. They enjoy a happy life in company and are equally well cared for.
For the ride, the horses were brought to the beach by the staff.
Arrival
Upon arrival at the beach, the staff were holding the saddled and bridled horses. To mount, we used a stony elevation that served as a mounting block. The staff adjusted the stirrups, and finally, the guide mounted as well – and off we went!

While riding, I wore the Royal Horsemen riding leggings – they were extremely comfortable and pleasant to wear.

Trail Ride
The ride began on a sandy path that led us directly to the beach. From there, we turned left and either rode along the water or on a low cliff until we reached the beach again. Here we had our first chance to trot and canter – something the horses visibly enjoyed.
At one point, we made a 180-degree turn and rode back the same way, this time heading into the desert. There we had another opportunity to canter. However, since the beach atmosphere appealed to us more, we decided to return.
Back on the beach, we rode the horses into the very shallow water, which was a truly special experience. Afterwards, we left the water and followed the path along the small cliff and beach, until we once again entered the sea. At this shallow spot, we even had the chance to trot in the water, which felt truly magical.
After spending some time in the water, we headed back on the same path to meet the staff. The ride ended with a breathtaking sunset that bathed the landscape in golden colors.

After the ride
Back at the meeting point, the staff were already waiting to take the horses and ride them back home.
The transfer then brought us back to our hotel.

The guide was very enthusiastic and took a total of 120 photos and videos throughout the ride!
My Review
We had beautiful opportunities to canter. A highlight was riding the horses in the water and even trotting there. In the desert, we witnessed a dreamlike sunset – an unforgettable experience.
