Information
Riders were able to book and pay for the ride directly via the website. Long pants and sturdy shoes were mandatory. Helmets could be borrowed free of charge on-site.
The group size ranged from 1 to 9 riders. Private rides could also be booked via the website linked above.
Stable
All horses lived either 24/7 on a paddock with constant access to hay or on a pasture without shelter. The team made sure the horses’ work was well balanced.
Arrival
Trail Ride
We started from the lodge, riding down a dirt path and across a meadow. At the end of the meadow, we reached a road, which we followed to the right. While riding along the road, we were instructed to stay close together. Soon we crossed the street and followed a narrow path past tall reeds, eventually reaching an open country trail.
From there, a breathtaking view of the sparkling sea opened up. The path gently rose and fell as we followed it. After a small curve, we paused briefly on a meadow before continuing along the fields – always with the sea to our right.
Our route led us toward Cedros, passing a water trough where the horses could drink. Just before entering the village, we made a 170-degree turn and rode past a pretty cemetery.
Further along, we saw a herd of cows on a paddock and a milking machine. The sea shimmered intermittently to our right.
Before a soccer field, we turned left, rode along the short side of the field to the right, then left again, following a field path past reeds up to a small hill. Along the way, we passed a tomato-growing hall destroyed by a storm.
Finally, we arrived back in Cedros. After turning right at the road and another junction also to the right, we followed green country paths back toward the sea.
With the sea once again to our right, we followed the path to a junction where we turned left and returned to the village of Cedros. On the road, we turned left, followed it briefly, then turned right. Shortly afterward, we crossed the main street onto another field path.
Crossing green paths and small trails, we eventually returned to the road, turning right. After a short distance, we made a left turn – and finally returned to the lodge, where our ride ended peacefully.

After the ride
Back at the lodge, the staff unsaddled and unbridled the horses, cared for them, and returned them to the paddock or pasture.
Photos
We paused on a meadow with a view of the sea for photos, giving everyone the chance to get nice pictures. Additional photos could be taken upon request.
My Review
I really enjoyed this ride. A beautiful green paradise in the Atlantic, perfect for exploring on horseback. It was great fun, the landscape offered plenty of variety, the horses were well cared for, and the team paid attention to every detail.
