Information
We had the privilege of taking a private Cheval Kaouki 5 h beach ride. The guide and owner, “Mohammad,” was able to respond to all our wishes.
Guests could only pay for the ride in cash in Moroccan Dirham.
Stable
The stable is located outside of Sidi Kaouki, in the middle of Moroccan nature.
I only saw the stable from the outside at night.
Arrival
We met the guide directly at the parking lot of the restaurant “Chez Iziki.”
After a short conversation, we were assigned our horses. An employee held the horse while we mounted. He adjusted the stirrups, and as soon as everyone was seated, we set off.

Trail Ride
From the parking lot, we first rode along the busy road until we turned right and reached the beach. As soon as we had firm sand beneath the hooves, we alternated between walk, trot, and canter, enjoying the feeling of riding along the water.
Always cliffs blocked the direct path, so we occasionally detoured over the rocks before returning to the sand and continuing along the coast. Eventually, the path led us to a striking cliff where we turned left.
Now we rode alongside a rock wall, accompanied by a small creek whose gentle trickle broke the silence of nature. Finally, we reached a narrow, hidden waterfall – a little oasis in the landscape. While the horses enjoyed a well-deserved snack break, happily nibbling at the grass, we dismounted to refresh ourselves with the water we had brought.
On foot, we climbed up the cliff before swinging back into the saddle and riding to the beach once more. On the way back, we enjoyed every gait again: relaxed walking along the water and cliffs, energetic trot sessions, and dreamy gallops over the sand.
After a while, we turned right into the dunes, tied up our horses, and had a short tea break in a small hut. By now, the sun was lower in the sky, bathing the beach in warm light and giving the scenery an almost magical atmosphere.
We continued along the coast – the glittering sea to our left, the gentle dunes with scattered bushes to our right.
On the final section, an employee was waiting for us with a quad bike to record individual gallop videos. Of course, we didn’t miss the opportunity – at full speed we raced across the sand, relishing the feeling of freedom and speed.
Finally, we left the beach behind, walked calmly along the sandy paths, and returned to the stable with happy horses and beaming faces.

After the ride
Back at the stable, an employee came to meet us, held the horse so I could dismount, and immediately took the horses into the stables to care for them.
The guide drove us back to our apartment.

On the last beach section of the return trip, an employee came with a quad bike to take a gallop video of each rider individually.
On request, additional photos and videos could be taken during the ride.
My Review
I really enjoyed the ride along the endless beach. It was wonderful to see the very narrow, small waterfall. The tea break was a great way to recharge.
