Information
We had the privilege of taking a private Tunis Stable 2 h Magic Lake ride with the guide, who could accommodate all our wishes.
Guests could only pay in cash, with Euros, USD, or Egyptian Pounds.
Stable
The stable is located remotely in the "Libyan Desert". It has individual stalls with soft sand flooring for the horses. The staff takes excellent care of the animals.
Arrival
Upon arrival, Mohammed showed us the stable and the horses. The staff prepared the horses and led them out in front of the stable. During mounting, a staff member held the horse and adjusted the stirrups. Once everyone was seated, the ride began.

Trail Ride
From the stable, we followed the dirt roads and turned right. We rode at a relaxed walk while the vast desert stretched out ahead. There, the first canter section awaited us, which we enjoyed to the fullest.
Our path led straight ahead to circumvent a hill, before we turned right again and enjoyed the next canter stretch. Afterwards, we proceeded at a leisurely walk over a rocky-sand hill, which offered a breathtaking view of a lake.
To reach the “Magic Lake,” we rode down a steep, soft sand path. At the bottom, we cantered a short distance to the left, directly along the lake, before dismounting for a tea break.
After the break, we continued to the right—with the lake on our left and an impressive rocky hill on our right. At the end of the hill, we turned right again and enjoyed one last long canter. Finally, we returned at a relaxed walk through the desert and along familiar dirt paths to the stable.

While riding, I wore the Royal Horsemen riding leggings – they were extremely comfortable and pleasant to wear.

After the ride
Back at the stable, the staff held the horses so riders could dismount. They led the horses directly to their stalls, unsaddled and unbridled them, and took care of them.
A transfer brought us back to Tunis.

For the ride, staff accompanied us in a Jeep, taking many beautiful photos and videos.
Make sure you have enough storage space!
My Review
I really enjoyed the ride through the desert to the Magic Lake. The Magic Lake itself is a beautiful spot and a highlight of the ride.
