Information
We had the privilege of taking a private Wesal 150-Minute Sunset Desert ride. The guides were able to accommodate all of our wishes.
Guests could only pay in cash, with Euros, USD, or Egyptian Pounds.
Stable
The stable is located in Cairo’s suburb Abo Al Nomros City. The horses live in individual stalls and are regularly given turnout time in the arena.
Arrival
Upon arrival at the stable, the owners showed us the horses. After that, the staff prepared them for the ride. In front of the stable, we mounted the horses without a mounting block. A staff member held the horses steady and adjusted the stirrups. Once everyone was seated, we set off.

While riding, I wore the Royal Horsemen riding leggings – they were extremely comfortable and pleasant to wear.

Trail Ride
The ride started at the stable and first led us to the right, along a dried-up stream. We followed the path until we had to cross a busy road. From there, we rode through a beautiful property that brought us to a sandy trail. We followed it to a right-hand bend, which led us into a section with dense trees.
As the forest cleared, the vast dune desert opened up before us. Here we made a large loop and used the breathtaking landscape for long gallops. We let our horses run across the dunes, enjoying the sensation of riding through the soft sand. In the distance, we could occasionally glimpse the majestic pyramids – an awe-inspiring sight.
Just in time for sunset, we reached a particularly beautiful spot in the desert. The golden light bathed the scenery in magical colors while we soaked in the stillness of the moment. Finally, we set off on the relaxed ride home, retracing the same path we had come by.

Your personal companion for your ride trips– with plenty of space for photos and notes!
After the ride
Back at the stable, the staff came out to meet us and held the horses so we could dismount. They walked the horses to cool them down, then returned them to their stalls, removed saddles and bridles, and took care of them.
Photos
The guides took many photos and videos throughout the ride.
My Review
