Information
This ride was organized by "Alexasstories" (Instagram account).
We had the privilege of taking a private 150-minute Pyramids Special ride with Said Saleh Horses. The guide was able to respond to all our wishes.
Guests could only pay in cash, with Euros, USD, or Egyptian Pounds.
The stable is run by the kind Said (Egyptian), for whom the well-being of the horses and customer service always come first!
Stable
The stable is located on the outskirts of Cairo. All horses are well-fed, kept in individual stalls, and regularly turned out. A riding arena is available for exercise. From the rooftops of the stables, you have a stunning view of the pyramids.
Arrival
For this ride, Said Saleh Horses transported the horses to the pyramids by trailer. We paid the regular entrance fee at the pyramids and met the horses inside. An employee awaited us with the tacked-up horses. We waited until another local guide arrived, and only then did we mount up. The employee adjusted the stirrups before leaving, and our ride began.

Trail Ride
At the starting point, we passed other horses belonging to different stables. A narrow path led us out into the vast desert, where we first warmed up our horses at the walk. Soon after, we reached the first gallop stretches and let them pick up speed.
We rode as close to the pyramids as was allowed and were even able to make a detour right up to the small pyramid. It was a breathtaking feeling to stand on horseback in front of this world-famous wonder of antiquity. Our route then led us up a sandy hill, from which we enjoyed an even better view of the majestic pyramids – for me, a very special highlight.
Following the same path back, we again used the gallop tracks while the impressive pyramids passed by us. Finally, we let our horses drop back into a walk and returned calmly to the starting point, still overwhelmed by this unique experience.

While riding, I wore the Royal Horsemen riding leggings – they were extremely comfortable and pleasant to wear.

After the ride
Back at the starting point, we dismounted and handed the horses back to the owner, Said. He then took them home again by trailer.

The guide took many stunning photos and videos with the impressive pyramids in the background.
My Review
I really enjoyed the ride. Seeing the pyramids so close up from horseback was something truly special and a breathtaking experience. We had beautiful gallops in front of the pyramids.
