Information

Guests could pay for the ride in cash, by card, or directly when booking online through the “Ranch Manippos” website. These were group rides with other guests. Riding helmets were available free of charge on-site, and all rides were done with Western saddles.

This ride is strictly at a walk.

There was also the option to book a professional photo session during the ride. This additional service had to be booked one day in advance!

Stable

The horses were kept in a paddock directly behind the hitching area. They had fresh drinking water available 24/7 and were well-fed. The team took very good care of the horses’ wellbeing.

Arrival

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the dogs and the team. We waited until all guests had arrived and were able to sit in the shade on chairs. Once everyone was there, we gathered by a metal cabinet where we received a disposable hairnet for hygiene and a riding helmet. The team asked about riding experience and assigned the horses accordingly. Each rider mounted with the help of a mounting block, and the team adjusted the stirrups. Once everyone was seated, we were given instructions on how the horses were ridden here and what to keep in mind. Then the ride began, and the team assigned the riding order.

Trail Ride

The ride started directly from the ranch. The entire team accompanied us on foot while we rode along the road next to the ranch toward the beach. When we reached the fields, we turned left and then immediately right onto a narrow dirt path. We followed this path until we came close to the sea, then turned right again and reached the beach. There, we rode along the water’s edge, feeling the salty breeze and hearing the waves crash. At the pier, we turned right and followed a semicircle path through nature before returning to the beach. We then retraced the same route back to the ranch and ended our beautiful ride.

After the ride

Back at the ranch, the team guided the horses into place at the hitching posts and tied them up. Once all horses were secured, we could dismount, either with the help of a chair or without. The team collected the helmets and handed out a complimentary 0.5L bottle of water.

Photos

Photo stops were either made directly at the beach or back at the ranch. For the pictures, the team positioned the horses facing the camera and took several shots with their own phone.

My Review

I really enjoyed this ride. The horses were well cared for, and everything was organized smoothly. I also appreciated that we received a complimentary drink.
