At the entrance, you check in and show your ticket. Jackets can be hung on a stand in the entrance area. Then, the QR code is scanned and the tour can begin.
Experience
The museum features life-sized sculptures of various dolphins and whales, allowing visitors to admire the animals up close. The audio guide provides a wealth of interesting information about each species. Additionally, parts of a whale skull are displayed in glass cases, and a short English film is shown in the cinema.
The large exhibition hall is divided into different sections according to species, keeping everything organized and easy to follow. There is also a small play and fun area for children. Visitors can browse English knowledge books that are available for extra learning.

My Review
Visiting the Whales of Iceland Museum was very enjoyable and educational. Observing animals in the wild is a completely different experience, but the museum allows you to get closest to the whales and dolphins – you can see them in full size and notice details that are often only partially visible in the ocean. I highly recommend the museum.
