Information
The ride at Ranch Todorovi can be booked through the travel agency "Bulgarian Excursions – Dream Travel Tourist" Service at their local offices in Nessebar at "Sunny Beach". Alternatively, it is possible to book directly with the owner – you can contact me if you want the phone number.
The owner does not advertise independently, but relies on cooperation with travel agencies. Many guests come from the tourist town of Nessebar, as transfer to the ranch is already included in the price.
Riding helmets are available on-site free of charge.
At the start of a ride, beginners and advanced riders can join a mixed group. If experienced riders demonstrate their skills convincingly, they may ride ahead on a separate path and choose the gaits themselves.
Offers:
- 1 hour
- 1,5 hours
2 hours
(Available for both beginners and advanced riders)
Currently, the owner accompanies the rides in a carriage at the front - due to an injury. If needed, he can tie a horse to the back of the carriage to provide beginners with extra security and, if desired, the opportunity to try the trot.
Stable
The ranch is located about 10 km from Nessebar , in the middle of nature, and is much larger than it seems at first glance. As of August 2025, there are around 25 horses and ponies – from playful foals to relaxed retirees – living in shady paddocks or open meadows. Additionally, the ranch has about 40 donkeys, also with ample shade in their paddocks.
The owner also mentioned about 10 dogs, as well as some sheep and cows, which I did not see during my visit. According to him, each horse that works in the morning has up to three days off starting in the afternoon – I could not verify whether this is actually practiced.
Arrival
Upon our arrival, the owner first handed out riding helmets to all guests. He then assigned each rider a pre-saddled horse, already tied in the shade under a tree. Before mounting, he checked the girth, held the horse calm, and adjusted the stirrups. Once all riders were safely in the saddle and ready, the group set off and the ride began.

Trail Ride
07.08.
The ranch lay quietly behind us as we set off along the dusty path at a relaxed walk. A short turn to the right, then left again – and the wide, sun-bleached landscape opened up before us. At 10:30 a.m., the sun was already merciless, and even the few trees cast almost no shade. The landscape passed quietly beside me: parched fields interrupted by a few bushes, scattered gnarled trees standing like lonely sentinels in the heat. The owner signaled me to move ahead, so I kept some distance from the group. I alternated between calm walk, gentle trot, and short canters – always accompanied by the dry crunch of the ground under the hooves. At the end of the path, I turned my horse in a wide 180-degree curve. The heat hung over us like a heavy cloth as we returned along the same route. At the intersection, I waited briefly for the owner before we walked back to the ranch together.
10.08.
On this day, the choice was entirely mine – no fixed route, just my horse and me. At 10:15 a.m., we rode straight ahead at the intersection into an open landscape, with one large field blending into the next. The ground was gray and sandy, soft under the hooves, and the warm wind lightly carried away the fine dust. Ahead, a gentle hill rose. At the top, I turned right onto a harvested field, its golden stalks quietly snapping under each step. We set off into a relaxed canter – smooth, even, almost in slow motion. At the end of the field, the path turned right again, past a solitary row of dried sunflowers – silent witnesses of a long-past summer. There, I turned in a wide 180-degree arc and retraced my path until we reached the main path again. From here, we walked leisurely left back toward the ranch – a ride less about speed, more about the calm and expanse of the morning.
After the ride
Back at the ranch, the owner tied the horses back under the trees and loosened their girths. He then transported the guests back to their hotels. Upon returning, he personally takes care of the horses.

My Review
The owner showed me great trust, allowing me one day to ride ahead of the group and on another day to ride completely alone. Being able to ride alone in unknown terrain is a very special and rare experience.
Every guest was able to enjoy the ride in their own way. Personally, I really enjoyed the rides and had a lot of fun exploring parts of the area independently.
Unfortunately, I could not find out all the details about the stable, the animals, and the staff, so I cannot provide a final statements on these aspects.
